Post Operative Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Professional Support for Your Cosmetic Surgery Recovery

Bridging your healing from your surgeon’s hands to mine. – Michele Lent

You’ve taken a big step — investing in your body and in yourself.

Now it’s time to support that transformation with the care it needs to heal properly, reduce complications, and help you feel like you again.

I specialize in Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) for post-surgical clients, especially those recovering from cosmetic and plastic surgery. This gentle, medically informed therapy supports your body through every stage of healing — with skill, safety, and compassion.

Why MLD Is So Important After Cosmetic Surgery

After surgery, your lymphatic system is working overtime. The body naturally responds to surgical trauma with swelling, fluid retention, bruising, and inflammation. If left unmanaged, this can slow your recovery, cause pain, and even affect the final results of your procedure.

Whether you’ve had liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL, breast augmentation, or facelift —
MLD supports your recovery at every step.

Relieve Discomfort

🙏 Alleviates tightness, heaviness, and tenderness

Healing Takes Time – But You Don't Have to Do It Alone

Healing is a process — one that lasts 3 to 6 months after cosmetic surgery.
Regular MLD during the first 12–13 weeks can significantly improve your results, reduce complications, and make recovery easier and more comfortable.

Early Stage (Days 4–14)

If drains are still present, I gently guide excess fluid toward the drains, preventing fluid buildup and hardening. Includes red light therapy to reduce inflammation and support cellular healing.

Sub-Acute Stage (Weeks 2–4)

Swelling is common here. I focus on flushing stagnant fluid, reducing tightness and tenderness, and supporting circulation. Red light therapy continues to promote tissue repair.

Mid-Healing Stage (Weeks 4–8)

This is when I introduce techniques like reverse pressure to soften fibrotic tissue and improve shape and symmetry.

Long-Term Support (Weeks 9–13+)

As your body settles into its new shape, we maintain lymph flow, reduce lingering puffiness, and promote detox.

❤️  You Are Supported in Your Healing Journey

Surgery changes your body — physically and emotionally and I’m here to help you feel safe, empowered, and fully supported. I’ll explain every step of your treatment in simple, clear language, so you always feel confident and cared for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When should I start MLD postoperative massage care? Answer: You can usually begin as soon as 4–10 days post-op, with your surgeon’s clearance.

Q: Will an hour-long MLD Massage session hurt? Answer: No. MLD is gentle and non-invasive. Most clients say it feels calming and comforting.

Q: Can MLD help with hard lumps or uneven swelling? Answer: Yes! That’s where advanced techniques like reverse pressure come in — helping smooth and shape tissue as it heals.

Q: What happens during a Lymphatic Drainage Massage session? Answer: You’ll start with red light therapy to reduce inflammation. Then I use rhythmic, light-touch techniques tailored to your healing phase. Each session lasts 60 minutes.

Q: Is it okay if I still have drains in? Answer: Yes — MLD is especially helpful during this time. I guide fluid toward the drains to support your body’s recovery.
